Coach John Klacik, the head coach of the Newcastle Miners, has landed in Australia.
With game play moved to 2017, coach Klacik will head up planning and operations of national and international combines and tryouts. Coach Klacik will also work closely with Coach Kevin Magouirk in the league’s community football and engagement projects across Australia.
Coach Klacik is a veteran with over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience. Majority of his coaching profession has taken place at the NCAA FBS and FCS levels. Klacik spent 16 years of his coaching career at Youngstown State where he was a part of four NCAA I-AA National Championship teams. Before joining the Newcastle Miners, Coach Klacik spent three season with Miami University as offensive coordinator and tight ends Coach.
Coach Klacik will be based in Brisbane in the immediate future. His first assignment will be as part of the coaching team headed to Hobart, Tasmania on September 3rd to provide player camps and coaches clinic.
